    Designer Spotlight: by SMITH

I was introduced to the clothing line, by SMITH after reading this article in the Washingtonian magazine yesterday and I have to admit I am slightly obsessed with the entire spring 2012 collection. Launched in the spring of 2010, by SMITH is a sophisticated and chic collection designed with the everyday woman in mind. And Smith Sinrod, the designer of by SMITH, has always loved fabrics and bright colors as evident here with the use of use Thai silk, vibrant colors, and bold patterns. I would be happy to have any one of these outfits in my wardrobe but I am really loving the grotto top and capri skirt. Naina: It seems to be that you are increasingly endorsing brands. You blog now seems to have a commercial flavor to it. Just a little disappointed. Would love to hear more about you personal style and tips, etc as opposed to just seeing brand showcases. i want to come here for fresh ideas! please less endorsements!

Nancy-Thanks for the feedback. I always love to share my personal style and tips so please let me know if you have anything specific you would like to see on the blog. This is truly why I started the blog. I would love more feedback and I am really open to suggestions and ideas. Also I found out about this brand completely on my own yesterday and genuinely and truly fell in love with it. I received no money or free items for doing this post at all and it is all strictly my own opinion. And the same goes for the Karen Millen post I did recently. I blogged about the new spring line because I love it and I purchased my own blouse. I did not receive any free items or compensation from Karen Millen. In addition I turn down over 90% of the offers that come into my inbox from various brands etc. I only work with ones that reflect my own style. And the one thing I truly take pride in with this blog is that it reflects my own personal style always. Thanks again for your honest feedback Nancy. I take every comment to heart and learn and grow from positive comments and constructive criticism. --Naina

I'm in love with it ALL. The colors, the feminine shapes, the clean lines... I think I need one of everything, pretty please?

well, now i'm in love with the spring line too! i like the white pocket borders that give it a hint of prep while still be completely wearable, a little slouchy and cleverly casual!
