Spring Trends To Love

Last night while tucking in my four year old daughter in bed I reminded her that when she wakes up in the morning it will be my birthday.  She then said "Mommy are you going to be ten or eleven years old tomorrow?" I could not help but laugh and get a bit teary eyed too. It was a moment that reminded me of my own childhood and I had a flashback to when I was ten years old, living in Raleigh, North Carolina. I immediately thought of all the things I loved around this age including John Taylor of Duran Duran, everything and anything Madonna, Top Gun, side pony tails with scrunchies, huge earrings, jean mini skirts paired with oversized tops, colorful jelly bracelets, jelly shoes, and swatch watches. 

I love seeing trends such as denim jackets, neon colors, florals, and lace re-emerge from the 1980's and inspire and influence today's fashion. But I really don't want to re visit trends like stirrup pants, jams, and leg warmers. Here are a few of my favorite trends and inspiration for the current spring/summer season.

I think that lingerie inspired dress could be Stella McCartney? She has some gorgeous designs in her spring collection. I'm liking all white, I have to say, I just wish I wasn't so clumsy with it :-)
