Peplum + Colored Jeans

We are back from our relaxing vacation in Turks and Caicos (can you tell I got some sun?) and now I am slowly getting back into a routine here. On beach vacations I keep my packing to a minimum and when I am not laying by the beach or pool in my bathing suit my outfit typically consists of open toe flats, simple flowy summer dresses, and minimal to no make up. But now that I am back home it is nice to get a little dressed up, throw on some heels, and enjoy an evening out.

I love peplum blouses and dresses  (also seen here) because they are so feminine and they add great shape to an outfit.  Peplum blouses tend to have volume and are flowy so they are best paired up with silhouettes that are sleek such as pencil skirts, mini skirts, and skinny jeans.

You got some serious color!! But it looks great with the black and blue hues (so perfect for fall!). I'm definitely pulling for peplum to carry into fall, I am certainly not done wearing the trend.

i love those jeans and heels! i really like peplum tops, but i don't have any in my closet! might have to change that... i love this black one!
