    One Year of Style

Today marks the one year anniversary of STYLE'N! Thank you for following along and for your comments and support this past year. I can honestly say that I have grown more in the past year than I have in the past few years and it's all because this blog has allowed me to express my creativity and with this has come some amazing opportunities as well as some wonderful new friendships and partnerships.

So here is my very first post from May 25th, 2010. I don't think anyone read it but to me it is the single most important post because it captured the reasons I started blogging and it marked the beginning of this wonderful journey.

Welcome to style'n-May 25th 2010 Since the New Year, I decided I want to start being more creative so I figured why not start a blog? A virtual journal is an amazing way to capture all the things going on in my everyday life but also a great way to connect to others. I love all things associated with style and I am hoping this blog will be an outlet for me to share my personal style and all the things I love most. so here goes.....

    Spring Fling

On Saturday Aneesh and I attended the annual Spring Fling cocktail party with his colleagues at the Boston Fairmont Copley Hotel.  I ended up wearing the same dress I wore a couple of weeks ago to another cocktail party, but I created a new look by adding different jewelry and a bright colored clutch.  And for a change I also experimented with my eye make up and went for a more dramatic look with Revlon's ColorStay eye shadow in sultry smoke.

Karen Millen dress, Stuart Weitzman heels, BCBG clutch, margaretruthbeads bracelet and earrings, Swarovski bangles

    Where Did Our SUNday Go?

On Sunday we took Ariyana to a birthday party and the rain stayed away just long enough for the kids to run around the yard for about an hour.  The rest of the day was gloomy and rainy and unfortunately it has been like this in Boston all week long. I really hope the sun comes back this Sunday.

Ariyana-Crew Cuts top, Janie and Jack skirt, and Kenneth Cole shoes. Naina-Madewell blouse, MIH jeans, Tory Burch heels, bracelet-gift, Burberry wallet, and Oscar de la Renta belt

    Stylish Things

Beautiful orchids at the W Hotel in Boston

I finally tried Moroccan hair oil and and I am hooked on it now.

Necklace given to me for my birthday by my family.

Calypso St. Barth's for Target beach tote and bathing suit for Ariyana...perfect for our upcoming tropical vacation.

And my favorite piece of jewelry right now is this colorful bracelet Ariyana made for me.

    Day to Night

Friday was a great day.  I work up early, had a couple of great meetings for work, and then Aneesh joined me for lunch and we worked at a coffee shop for much of the afternoon.  We took advantage of the beautiful day with an evening game of tennis and then took Ariyana with us to dinner at Gaslight.  It was a nice balance of work, exercise, family time, and of course fabulous food and wine.

And I love it when I can transition and outfit from day to night.  During the day for work I wore this blouse and pants with a black blazer and for dinner I just swapped out the blazer and work bag for this jacket and a small clutch.  Oh and these pants are exact same ones I bought in pink and wore here.  Did I mention I have a problem with buying the same item of clothing in multiple colors?

Benetton blouse, Zara jacket and pants, Cole Haan platform pumps, and Kate Spade clutch
