    Stylish Things

This week I stocked up on some new makeup, threw away the old stuff, and finally organized it all.

I love the decor at The Mondrian in Soho especially these vases and lanterns.

Aneesh is away for work this week so Ariyana and I have been indulging in some of our favorite foods including pancakes and Mac and Cheese.

Hot Tot is an amazing line of styling products created just for tots with safe, natural, and organic ingredients. And Megan, the founder of Hot Tots, sent me some styling products for me to try on Ariyana. Ariyana loves the Conditioning Detangler because it smells so good and I love it because it tames her tangles and moisturizes her dry hair.

I am a bit obsessed with updating my kitchen gadgets and this Olive Wood Salt and Pepper Keeper is my latest purchase.

    Missoni For Target

Did you catch the sneak peek of the Missoni for Target collection yesterday? I love the bright colored items especially the teacups, scarves and mini-dresses. The collection will feature over 400 items and will include women's, men's, and children's clothing along with housewares, furniture, and bicycles. The collection debuts in stores from September 13th to October 22nd and items will be priced between $3 and $600, but most will be under $40. What do you think about this collaboration? Anything strike your fancy?

    Designer Spotlight: Friedasophie

Recently I discovered Friedasophie on Etsy and I am in love with every single piece of jewelry in this store. Friedasophie jewelry is handcrafted in San Francisco using natural based gemstones and the prices range from $19 to $89. Any of these items would make excellent gifts for your mom, sister, a friend, or even just for yourself!

I also wanted to let you know that my posts will likely be sporadic this week. Ariyana just got home from visiting my parents in North Carolina for over a week so I am hoping to spend a little extra quality time with her this week.

    Summer Beauty Essentials

NARS Larger Than Life Life Lip Gloss $26 each

Happy Monday everyone! This weekend Lani , Lissy and I took a quick girls trip to New York City. And while I hoped to get a few outfit photos from our dinner out Saturday evening unfortunately it ended up raining. But despite a few showers we still had a fabulous time chatting, eating, and of course shopping.  Lani and I even got convinced by Lissy and a few of our other friends at dinner to get a kindle and before the weekend was over we both ended up ordering one. I would love to hear back from you about some of your favorite book recommendations so I can start loading up my new kindle.

Also today I am guest posting for Betsy over at Cool Kids while she is on a blog break and a relaxing beach vacation. Stop by to see my Top 5 Beauty Essentials for the Summer. It's all about experimenting with color and having fun with beauty products. You can also check out some of my other favorite beauty products all in one place here.

    Stylish Things

I am not  really a huge fan of animal prints but I adore the print of this shrug and love how soft it is.  I can't wait to wear it in the fall with either an all black outfit or with jeans and a simple white V-neck tee. (Lola shrug c/o CAbi)

When I had dinner at The Gallows the other night our coffee was served with milk in this adorable cow creamer. It is so cute I had to go buy one this week. Don't you think it would make an excellent hostess gift?

A routine lunch get together with my girlfriends at Scampo and all 4 of us ordered these refreshing and delicious mojito's with a splash of pomegranate juice. (IPhone photo)

A new pair of classic black suede peep-toe pumps to take with me to New York city this weekend.

Beautiful flowers that arrived on my doorstep last Sunday. (Also seen on my Facebook page )

A handwritten note to send to my brother for Rakhi next week.

    Have a great weekend!
