I have always been a huge fan of Karen Millen, a brand offering accessible luxury and attainable design while maintaining effortless glamour, signature fit, and attention to detail. So I could not help but notice the fresh and modern look of the spring/summer '12 collection. The collection consists of vibrant colors and prints and offers polished femininity infused with bold modernity.  Whether I am looking for a little black dress, tailored work-wear, or a leather jacket, Karen Millen is one of my go to brands for stylish investment pieces.

It is safe to say that I am addicted to these IKEA drawer dividers. I have one for my belts and one for my bangles and I am pretty sure I am going to order a few more of these dividers.

It is probably evident that I love my colored jeans and trousers.  But this monochromatic red outfit is one of my favorites right now because it is simple, classy, and striking.  And the addition of a bold statement necklace gives a monochromatic outfit a pop of color and adds a bit of drama.

My closet has two built in belt racks but these racks don't hold my skinny belts and they don't keep my belts organized neatly.  The belt racks are much better suited to hang all my long necklaces and scarves. So I decided to display all my belts in a drawer using this divider from IKEA and now my belts are all tucked away in a drawer and they are much easier to find.

Last week I picked up these skinny trousers from Zara and they were such a great deal and surprisingly fit and feel better than my JBrand and Citizens of Humanity jeans.  And I love wearing these unexpected spring like colors in the middle of winter.  It is a nice change from all the dark and muted outfits I seem to gravitate towards during the colder months.  These trousers will transition nicely during the spring months and they are versatile enough to be styled numerous ways.  They can be paired up with chambray shirts, floral blouses, sequins, and other pastel colored blouses.

If you are interested in making a dessert that is quick and easy but tastes so good everyone will think you spent all day in the kitchen, then this Raspberry Chocolate Cheesecake is for you.   My friend Purvi gave me this recipe and while I don't have much of a sweet tooth I absolutely cannot resist this sinfully delicious and decadent cheesecake.  The cheesecake is smooth and rich and it just melts in your mouth. This is the third time I have made the cheesecake this month and lucky for me I had a little helper this time around.

On Saturday I finally checked out the Montgomery Mall here in Bethesda for a little window shopping and to get a few items for Ariyana. I cannot believe how all of a sudden she is outgrowing all her clothes. Since I had my entourage consisting of Ariyana, her American Girl doll, and her doll's stroller, I did not have high expectations and wanted to just pop into a few stores.  I managed to find cute items at Zara and when I got home I also tracked down this red blouse too. I can't wait to pair the blouse with these red jeans for a bright monchoromatic look.  And speaking of these read jeans, I don't know why I waited so long to buy a pair.  They literally go with over half the blouses in my closet.
