    A Simple and Classic Outfit

Pants and sweater-The Limited, Shoes-The Loft, Bag-Louis Vuitton

I have been wearing colorful and fun sundresses all summer so I thought I would change things up and go for a more simple and classic look with these white linen pants and sheer metallic sweater I found at The Limited. I rarely shop at The Limited but my sister finds the cutest dresses there so we stopped into the store and of course within 10 minutes both of us ended up finding several items on sale.

Walking into The Limited brings back memories from Middle School when literally every girl I knew, including myself, was wearing clothes from this store.  Does anyone else remember those incredibly popular Outback Red 10 button shirts and the Forenza knit sweaters from the late 1980’s? Walking in the store also reminds me of high school because I worked at The Limited off and on during this time and it was my first job…other than babysitting.

What is your “go to” simple and classic outfit in the summer?

Omg, this article so brought back memories….cause I was walking by my Limited just last week and thinking of 8th grade when all the popular girls were wearing only Outback Red shirts!!!! I did sneak in for a few minutes and they do have cute stuff…haven't shop there in ages! Even picked up a cute dress…..

hey Naina, love the relaxed outfit, sometimes you just need outfits like these in middle of summer (between all the madness of trends/styles and yes no shaving/waxing..haha). My classic outfit would be pair of colored denims (red/pink) and a comfy tee. maybe throw on a jacket if its cooler.

I love the look and feel of linens in summer. Unfortunately, they don't work so well in a formal environment as they crumple too easily.

    Hi Naina,

Great to see you back. I love your outfit, so simple and yet stylish. My go-to summer outfit would be maxi skirts. They are light and breezy and so easy to dress up or down.

That sweater is fantastic- I love it! My go-to outfit for summer is a cute dress and sandals- easy breezy! 🙂

I love the simple, muted look of this outfit! The sheen in the top is just enough to punch it up. I've been wearing a lot of breezy black and white pieces lately.

I totally remember those Forenza sweaters. They were V neck and you could be dating and wear them backward. Haven't shopped at the Limited in forever but the last time I was there, I saw they brought back OBR!
