Shorts + Sequins

Banana Republic sequin tank, BB Dakota shorts, Stuart Weitzman sandals, Kate Spade clutch, J.Crew belt

This is the first summer in a very long time that I have actually put on a pair of shorts. Shorts are really just not my thing and I have always preferred wearing skirts and dresses.  But now that we live in the Washington D.C. area and I have to endure the ridiculously hot summers I am quickly changing my opinion of shorts. I love dresssing up shorts so for dinner out I wore these off white cotton shorts paired up with a fun black sequin tank. It really is the perfect outfit for a hot and humid summer evening.  I am also really loving simple and classic outfits consisting of just black and white or off white.

I am off to Boston again for a quick two day trip to visit family and friends. Have a wonderful weekend and see you here next week!

Naina, I love that black tank so much, I'd be wearing it every day. It looks so good with the shorts.

Love the sparkle of the tank and the classiness of the shorts. Perfect combination.

I loved this look. I tried pairing a sequin top with a skirt after I saw this post but Neil thought it was a little too much! Oh no!
